This FAQ section is for GUESTS (unregistered members)


Common problem: Please do not mistake ClubTOW for another Other Woman Support site. There are several other forums named "TOW", including the defunct (as of May 1st, 2015) forum many of us called home.  The look here is essentially the same as T.O.W. by design.
 
ClubTOW does not belong to a network of other forums, nor do we have any "sister/affiliated/partner, etc" sites. It's just us here. If you registered at a place where the URL was not clubtow.org, then you registered elsewhere.


Q: I registered for the forum, but every time I login, I get a message saying "waiting for admin approval".

A: All registrations must be approved by the Administrator.


Q: I understand the above, but why is it taking so long?

A: We've found that even upon approval to the forum, not all members have received an activation notice.  We would request that you continue trying to log-in occasionally.

In short, since all registrations must be approved by the Administrator you may need to wait a day or two.   Once you are approved, you will be sent an activation email immediately upon approval (please check your spam folders).


Q: I'm not sure what happened, and I checked in my junk/spam folders in my inbox, but I do not have an activation email.

A: There have been some issues with the activation emails either not being sent or not being received; please try logging in as your registration may have already been approved. 

If you are still unable to log in, email staff at admin@clubtow.org and tell us what your username was. It may be possible that an activation email can be re-sent. 


Q: I got the activation email (a few weeks ago), and now when I try it, it doesn't work. Help!

A: If you do not activate your account within 4 weeks, it will be assumed you don't plan on activating, and your account will be deleted.  If this happens, you will have to register again.


Q: I understand all of the above, but when I try to login, I do not get an error message, and it seems as though my account does not even exist.

A:It's possible your registration was rejected due to one of the following reasons:
-You used a corporate internet connection to sign up
-You used a proxy
-Your whole account looked like possible spam or you were flagged as possible spam

You are welcome to email Staff at admin@clubtow.org to discuss further.
 



FYI: The "Help" page in the navigation menu is a generic help page for how the forum functions...i.e. how to create a topic, how to login, etc. This is a help page from the forum software (SMF/Simple Machines Forum) and has nothing to do with actual questions about this forum or registering. In order to receive any help with something OTHER than the general functionality of a forum, you MUST contact ClubTOW staff via email (admin@clubtow.org).

This cannot be stressed enough: if there is anything about your account that appears 'spammy', your registration will be rejected.
